About the position

NHH in Bergen, Norway, welcomes applicants for a three-year postdoctoral position in Empirical Industrial Organisation at the Department of Economics.

As a postdoctoral research fellow, you will be an important contributor to the project "Distributional Effects of Environmental Policies" led by Associate Professor Morten Sæthre. We are seeking a highly talented economist with a background in industrial organisation, computational economics and/or environmental economics. Your primary research focus should revolve around empirical investigations, and you should possess proficiency in structural microeconometrics. Enthusiasm for delving into transportation or electricity markets is a plus. The project is funded by the European Union (ERC, DEEP, 9618). The Department of Economics provides a stimulating and dynamic research environment with a strong emphasis on top research. It has more than 50 faculty members and several strong, internationally renowned research groups in in a wide range of fields, including Industrial Organisation, Labour Economics, Behavioural Economics, Macro- and Resource Economics, International Trade, Development Economics and Applied Microeconomics. The department is particularly devoted to providing a stimulating environment for young faculty.

We are looking for an excellent economist with expected completion of PhD no later than the date of commencement. While the position is stationed in Bergen, we actively encourage research-related travel and there are opportunities for research stays at collaborating institutions.
