The Department of Organizational Behavior at the Faculty for Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne provides a stimulating and highly interdisciplinary research environment. Job information

  • Expected start date position: 1 September 2024 or a mutually acceptable alternative
  • Contract duration: The initial contract is one year. The contract is twice renewable for two years, and thus the maximum funding period is five years.

Your responsibilities

  • 50% of the assistant’s time will be dedicated to completion of doctoral studies in either Management or Economics.
  • 50% of the assistant’s time will be dedicated to providing teaching, administrative, and research support for the supervisor.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • Master’s in management, organizational behavior, economics, sociology, psychology, evolutionary anthropology, ecology and evolution, population biology, or equivalent complexity or computational social science
  • Fluent in English
  • An interest in the interdisciplinary study of human behavior with evolution as an organizing framework
  • Strong quantitative skills with an interest in experimental methods and modeling
  • Must be accepted to the doctoral program in either Economics or Management

The research environment

The successful candidate will work closely with Charles Efferson and will be a member of the PACE Lab ( in the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne. The PACE Lab is a large interdisciplinary mix of professors, post-docs, PhD students, and research assistants at the University of Lausanne, with affiliated researchers at various institutions in the US, UK, and Germany.
