John Cabot University, an accredited American liberal arts university in Rome, Italy, invites applications for an open-rank full-time tenure-track faculty position in Economics and Finance, to begin end of August 2023. The initial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of tenure.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellent teaching in the context of a liberal arts education, scholarly activity, curriculum development, and service to the Department and the University.

We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Economics or Finance. The area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to applicants with expertise in finance, financial markets, and quantitative methods. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate-level courses (e.g., microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance) with a load of three courses per semester as well as to be an active member of the university community. The ideal candidate should have familiarity and experience with the American liberal arts educational tradition. Ability to teach graduate-level courses is an asset. Candidates are expected to be fluent in English, which is the language of instruction of the University, and to have permission to work in the EU.
