The Faculty of Psychology at UniDistance Suisse offers a vibrant, bilingual academic environment with Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, as well as practice-oriented continuing education in both German and French. Its research is centred on key areas such as learning and memory, neurocognition, affect, emotion and motivation, as well as neurodevelopment and neurodiversity. Faculty members employ a broad range of advanced methodological approaches, including electroencephalography, virtual reality, and eye-tracking. Within this context, the clinical professorships represent a strategic opportunity to further strengthen and broaden the faculty’s research profile by integrating clinical psychological expertise, while also generating new momentum in both research and teaching.

Your responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality, internationally visible research in Clinical Psychology (assessment and diagnosis, psychotherapy, psychopathology, evidence-based practices), with a particular focus on e-mental health and digital approaches.
• Publish research findings in leading peer-reviewed journals and actively contribute to the scientific community through participation in major national and international conferences and workshops.
• Secure competitive third-party funding and contribute to the development of a sustainable and innovative research agenda.
• Supervise and mentor Bachelor’s, Master’s, and doctoral students, fostering the next generation of researchers and practitioners.
• Provide academic leadership and actively contribute to the development of the Faculty’s research profile.
• Establish and strengthen collaborations within UniDistance Suisse as well as with national and international academic and professional partners.
• Teach in the Faculty’s Bachelor’s, Master’s, and doctoral programmes in French and/or German, and contribute to the development of high-quality curricula.
• Design and implement innovative teaching approaches, with a strong emphasis on e-learning, digital education, and distance teaching formats.
• Contribute actively to the strategic development of the Faculty, including study programmes, course offerings, and institutional initiatives.
• Participate in academic self-governance and institutional service at UniDistance Suisse.
• Contribute to and further develop continuing education programmes and services aimed at professionals and the broader public.
• Promote knowledge transfer and dissemination through translational activities targeting diverse audiences.
• Foster an inclusive academic environment and actively promote equity, diversity and inclusion.

Your profile

Applications will be assessed holistically, taking into account the quality, impact, and originality of academic contributions, as well as individual career trajectories and circumstances. Given the open-rank nature of the position, expectations will be interpreted in light of the candidate’s application, experience and career stage.

• A doctoral degree in psychology (or a closely related field) and several years of postdoctoral research experience in clinical psychology.
• Federal recognition as psychotherapist (or equivalent qualification), or being at an advanced stage of obtaining such qualification.
• A strong research focus in clinical psychology (e.g., assessment and diagnosis, psychotherapy and intervention, psychopathology, or clinical research and evidence-based practices), with particular expertise in e-mental health or digital approaches. Experience with artificial intelligence and/or data protection in this context is considered an asset.
• A proven track record of high-quality research output, along with a promising and coherent future research agenda.
• Demonstrated national and/or international visibility, and the ability to establish and maintain collaborations across institutions.
• Experience in successfully acquiring competitive third-party research funding.
• University-level teaching experience in clinical psychology at the Bachelor’s and/or Master’s level; experience with blended or digital learning formats is an advantage.
• Willingness and ability to actively contribute to academic self-governance and to the strategic development of the faculty and institution.
• Experience in academic leadership, particularly in supervising doctoral students, is considered an asset.
• Active proficiency in either French or German, and a willingness to acquire passive knowledge of the other language, as well as strong academic proficiency in English.

La Faculté de psychologie d’UniDistance Suisse offre un environnement académique dynamique et bilingue, avec des programmes de Bachelor et de Master, ainsi qu’une formation continue orientée vers la pratique en allemand et en français. Vos missions

• Mener des recherches de haute qualité, visibles à l’international, en psychologie clinique (diagnostic, psychothérapie, psychopathologie, pratiques fondées sur des preuves), avec un accent particulier sur la e-santé mentale (e-mental health) et les approches digitales.
• Publier les résultats de recherche dans des revues scientifiques de premier plan avec comité de lecture et contribuer activement à la communauté scientifique par la participation à des conférences et ateliers nationaux et internationaux majeurs.
• Obtenir des financements compétitifs auprès de tiers et contribuer au développement d’un programme de recherche durable et innovant.
• Encadrer et accompagner des étudiant-e-s de Bachelor, Master et doctorat, en favorisant la relève académique et professionnelle.
• Assurer un leadership académique et contribuer activement au développement du profil de recherche de la faculté.
• Établir et renforcer des collaborations au sein d’UniDistance Suisse ainsi qu’avec des partenaires académiques et professionnels nationaux et internationaux.
• Enseigner dans les programmes de Bachelor, Master et doctorat de la faculté en français et/ou en allemand, et contribuer au développement de cursus de haute qualité.

Votre profil

Les candidatures seront évaluées de manière globale, en tenant compte de la qualité, de l’impact et de l’originalité des contributions académiques ainsi que des parcours et contextes individuels. Étant donné la nature « open rank » du poste, les attentes seront interprétées à la lumière de la candidature, de l’expérience et du stade de carrière.

• Doctorat en psychologie (ou domaine étroitement lié) et plusieurs années d’expérience de recherche postdoctorale en psychologie clinique.
• Titre de psychothérapeute reconnu-e au niveau fédéral (ou qualification équivalente), ou progression avancée vers l’obtention d’un tel titre.
• Solide orientation de recherche en psychologie clinique (p. ex. évaluation et diagnostic, psychothérapie et intervention, psychopathologie, recherche clinique et pratiques fondées sur des preuves), avec une expertise particulière en e-santé mentale ou approches digitales. Une expérience en intelligence artificielle et/ou protection des données dans ce contexte constitue un atout.
• Dossier avéré de publications scientifiques de haute qualité, ainsi qu’un programme de recherche futur prometteur et cohérent.
• Visibilité nationale et/ou internationale démontrée, et capacité à établir et maintenir des collaborations entre institutions.
• Expérience avérée dans l’obtention de financements de recherche compétitifs.
• Expérience d’enseignement universitaire en psychologie clinique au niveau Bachelor et/ou Master ; une expérience avec des formats d’apprentissage hybrides ou numériques constitue un avantage.
• Volonté et capacité à contribuer activement à l’autogouvernance académique ainsi qu’au développement stratégique de la faculté et de l’institution.
• Expérience en leadership académique, notamment dans l’encadrement de doctorant-e-s, considérée comme un atout.
• Maîtrise active du français ou de l’allemand, ainsi que disposition à acquérir des connaissances passives de l’autre langue, et excellente maîtrise de l’anglais académique.

Die Fakultät für Psychologie der FernUni Schweiz bietet ein dynamisches, zweisprachiges akademisches Umfeld mit Bachelor- und Masterstudiengängen sowie praxisorientierter Weiterbildung in deutscher und französischer Sprache. Ihre Aufgaben

• Durchführung exzellenter, international sichtbarer Forschung in der Klinischen Psychologie (Diagnostik, Psychotherapie, Psychopathologie, evidenzbasierte Praxis) mit besonderem Fokus auf E-Mental Health und digitale Interventionsansätze.
• Publikation der Forschungsergebnisse in führenden peer-reviewed Journals sowie aktive Mitwirkung in der wissenschaftlichen Community durch Teilnahme an nationalen und internationalen Konferenzen und Workshops.

Ihr Profil

Die Beurteilung der Bewerbungen erfolgt ganzheitlich unter Berücksichtigung von Qualität, Wirkung und Originalität der wissenschaftlichen Leistungen sowie individueller Karriereverläufe und Rahmenbedingungen. Aufgrund der Open-Rank-Ausschreibung werden die Anforderungen entsprechend dem Erfahrungsstand und der Karrierestufe interpretiert.

• Promotion in Psychologie (oder einem eng verwandten Fachgebiet) sowie mehrjährige Postdoc-Erfahrung im Bereich Klinische Psychologie.
• Anerkennung als eidgenössisch anerkannte/r Psychotherapeut/in (oder gleichwertige Qualifikation), oder ein fortgeschrittener Ausbildungsstand in Richtung einer solchen Anerkennung.
• Ausgewiesener Forschungsschwerpunkt in Klinischer Psychologie (z. B. Diagnostik, Psychotherapie, Psychopathologie oder evidenzbasierte klinische Forschung) mit besonderer Expertise im Bereich E-Mental Health oder digitaler Ansätze; Kenntnisse in künstlicher Intelligenz und/oder Datenschutz sind von Vorteil.
• Nachgewiesene Publikationstätigkeit auf hohem Niveau sowie ein überzeugendes und kohärentes zukünftiges Forschungsprogramm.
• Nationale und/oder internationale Sichtbarkeit sowie Fähigkeit, Kooperationen aufzubauen und zu pflegen.
• Erfahrung in der erfolgreichen Einwerbung kompetitiver Drittmittel.
• Lehrerfahrung auf Hochschulniveau in Klinischer Psychologie auf Bachelor- und/oder Masterstufe; Erfahrung mit Blended Learning oder digitalen Lehrformaten von Vorteil.
