Faculty Position in Operations Management

The Faculty of Business at Özyeğin University, Istanbul, Turkey invites applications at all levels for a faculty position in Operations Management, starting Fall 2025.

Candidates for assistant professor are expected to hold a Ph.D. or be close to completing their degree. They should show the potential to have high-quality scholarly research and to deliver effective teaching in English at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates for senior positions should have an established record of publications in top-tier journals, along with evidence of high-quality teaching. Candidates from all operations management-related fields will be considered. Both empirical and analytical research orientations are encouraged.

Teaching loads are internationally competitive and salary and compensations commensurate with rank and qualifications.

Faculty Positions in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management

The Faculty of Business at Özyeğin University, Istanbul, Turkey, Istanbul, Turkey, is inviting applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in OB/HRM. The position will begin in September 2026 or later.

We are seeking candidates who have a strong international research record or demonstrate potential to establish such a record, with publications in leading academic journals. In addition to being exceptional scholars, successful candidates will also have a track record (calibrated to career stage) of teaching, research, or service activities, and a clear vision of how their work at Özyeğin will contribute to the University’s mission of providing students to experience a transformative learning experience. Candidates are expected to teach general management and human resource management courses in undergraduate and graduate programs, contribute to curriculum and program development, and actively engage in the academic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-quality research for publication in top-tier academic journals in the field of OB/HRM.
  • Teach general management and HRM courses in undergraduate and/or graduate programs. The teaching load for this position is three in the first academic year of employment and is decided on the basis of research performance thereafter.
  • Contribute to service activities, including student mentoring, committee membership, and engagement with the academic and business community.

Required Qualifications:

  • A PhD or equivalent degree in OB, HRM, Management, or a related discipline.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A proven record of scholarly achievements with publications in top-tier journals, or strong potential to develop such a record for junior candidates.
  • Demonstrated ability or potential to develop curriculum and instruct undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Demonstrated ability or potential to obtain external support for research activities.
  • Demonstrated ability or potential and interest to mentor undergraduate students and/or graduate students.
  • Evidence of communication and perspective-taking skills and collegiality consistent with effective departmental, campus, and professional citizenship.
