Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Director to lead and oversee the academic operations of our online university. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise, capable of supervising program directors, setting academic guidelines, and driving the continuous improvement of our educational offerings.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned academic professional with a strong background in higher education (an academic experience in computer science, cybersecurity or business technolgy is a plus) fluent in English (Italian language is a nice to have), and eager to engage in both strategic planning and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of Program Directors across various degree courses.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality academic programs.

Strategic Academic Development:

• Define and implement academic guidelines, policies, and standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to enhance the institution's curriculum and align offerings with market demands.

Operational Excellence:

• Actively participate in the day-to-day operational tasks to ensure seamless academic processes.
• Work closely with administrative teams to resolve challenges and maintain academic integrity.

Quality Assurance and Innovation:

• Continuously evaluate and improve the curriculum to meet evolving educational standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation in online teaching and learning methods.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Act as a liaison between faculty, administration, and external academic bodies.
• Represent the university in academic forums and partnerships.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in academic leadership, preferably in an online or hybrid educational setting.
• Strong understanding of curriculum design, quality assurance, and academic operations.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to take on operational tasks and "roll up your sleeves."
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
