Job description

Católica Porto Business School (CPBS) invites applications for one position in Operations & Management Science (with focus on Supply Chain Management); one position in Strategy (with focus on Sustainability & Governance); one position in Marketing (with focus on Market Research); and one position in Accounting & Finance (with focus on Sustainable Accounting & Finance). All positions are at the Associate/Assistant Professor level (depending on qualifications), to start September 1, 2025. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. on the scientific fields of the positions and have significant international experience. Preference will be given to candidates with research in the areas of focus of each scientific field.

At the Assistant Professor level, we are looking for applicants with strong potential of producing research outputs of high quality, and the ability to teach successfully at the undergraduate, and MSc levels. At the Associate Professor level, candidates are expected to show a strong research track record in prestigious management journals, excellence in teaching at all levels including executive education, and the ability to add to the research reputation and productivity of the School. Compensation and teaching load are competitive with other prestigious European schools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Research-based tenure requirements for Assistant Professor positions, to be assessed regularly during the contractual period.

  • 1 current paper (working paper or under submission);
  • 1 most significant publication;
  • A teaching statement that describes your previous teaching experience (with evidence of teaching scores, where available) and future pedagogical development plans (Optional);
  • A research statement that describes your previous research contributions and future research plans (Optional);
  • 2 reference letters (Optional).

The absence of any documentation which cannot be internally obtained will result in the rejection of the application. Applications that do not meet the requirements or which are submitted after the deadline will also be rejected.

Selection method:

  • Stage 1: Assessment of curriculum and other application documents;
  • Stage 2: Interviews and research seminar for shortlisted candidates.
