Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Analytics – Turin

ESCP Business School seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in Business Analytics, with a starting date of September 1^st, 2027. We are looking for a candidate who is motivated to conduct excellent research, teach and exhibit organizational citizenship to join the Information & Operations Management department at the Turin campus.

ESCP offers a stimulating research environment including a research seminar series, a Ph.D. program, and generous research funding. Appointment level and salary will depend on the candidate’s experience and academic achievements.

Requirements

• A PhD (or equivalent international degree) in business, information systems, artificial intelligence, computer science, data science or related fields.
• A demonstrated track record of, or demonstrated potential for, publishing research in leading international academic journals.
• A commitment to teaching excellence and the ability to teach undergraduate as well as postgraduate and executive audiences.
• The drive to become a leading scholar in the field of business analytics.
• Those close to completion of their PhD may be considered for appointment on an exceptional basis.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to discipline-based scholarship with outputs including peer reviewed publications at high international standard.

S/he applicant should be willing to teach in all our programs at the Turin campus covering different topics (e.g. mathematics, data analytics, programming (python & R), artificial intelligence, etc.). We particularly welcome candidates with an interest in academic service, program development and leadership responsibilities as part of their future contribution to the school. Willingness to work with colleagues from other campuses (Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, and Warsaw) is highly appreciated.   

Employment Details

Tenure-track faculty benefits from a reduced teaching load during the first 2 years of their engagement.

We offer a competitive salary for a position involving a balance between research, teaching, and school development (guideline salary range: €54,000 to €67,000 for Assistant Professors and €58,000 to €85,000 for Associate Professors).

Supplementary compensation of up to 30% of gross annual salary may be offered to candidates with strong or high-potential research profiles. Variable compensation may also apply for academic responsibilities. Tax incentives may be available under Italian law for individuals relocating from abroad.
