Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Analytics & Artificial Intelligence – Paris

ESCP Business School seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, with a starting date of September 1^st, 2027. We are looking for a candidate who is motivated to conduct excellent research, teach and exhibit organizational citizenship to join the Information & Operations Management department at the Paris campus.

ESCP offers a stimulating research environment including a research seminar series, a Ph.D. program, and generous research funding. Appointment level and salary will depend on the candidate’s experience and academic achievements.
Requirements

• A PhD (or equivalent international degree) in business, information systems, artificial intelligence, computer science, data science or related fields.
• A demonstrated track record of, or demonstrated potential for, publishing research in leading international academic journals
• A commitment to teaching excellence and the ability to teach undergraduate as well as postgraduate and executive audiences
• The drive to become a leading scholar in the field of business analytics.
• Fluency in French or another EU working language (besides English) is not necessary but highly appreciated.
• Those close to completion of their PhD may be considered for appointment on an exceptional basis.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to discipline-based scholarship with outputs including peer reviewed publications at high international standard.

S/he applicant should be willing to teach in all our programs at the Paris campus covering different topics (e.g. mathematics, data analytics, analytical modelling, machine learning, optimization, digital transformation, programming (python & R), artificial intelligence (generative/agentic), etc.). We particularly welcome candidates with an interest in, and appetite for, academic service, program development and leadership responsibilities as part of their future contribution to the school. Willingness to work with colleagues from other campuses (Berlin, London, Madrid, Turin, and Warsaw) is highly appreciated. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate skills in developing relationships with companies, professional organizations, media and social networks to expand and promote the reputation of ESCP Business School and its programs.
