SolBridge Visiting Professor Position (on-campus position) for Spring 2027

Position:

Visiting Professor

This is a full-time, teaching-focused, on-campus appointment based in Daejeon, South Korea. The position is offered on a renewable one-year contract.

Start Date:

March 1, 2027

Who can apply?

• Candidates who hold a Ph.D. or a DBA in any area of business from a reputed doctoral program
• Promising ABD candidates will be considered
• Candidates with a Master’s degree in Business and significant industry experience (relevant experience of over 15 years) may be considered

Teaching Areas:

We welcome applications from candidates who are able to teach in one or more of the following areas:

1. Analytics & AI for Business
   • Indicative Courses include: AI & Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI & Applications, Managerial Decision Modelling & Analytics, Data Visualization & Exploratory Analytics
2. Technology
   • Indicative Courses include: Blockchain Technology & Cryptocurrency, Generative AI and Programming, Programming for Business Applications (Python / other languages), Digital Strategies for Entrepreneurial Ventures, Digital Transformation, AI for Business Transformation, Information Systems and Digital Technologies for Business
3. Organizational Behavior & Human Resources
   • Indicative Courses include: People & Organizations, Human Resource Management, Managing Diversity in workplace, Managerial Skills
4. Marketing
   • Indicative Courses include: Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Communication, Strategic Marketing, Marketing Analytics
5. Management & Entrepreneurship
   • Indicative Courses include: Introduction to Business, Sustainability & Business Ethics, Managerial Economics, Asian Management, Business Consulting, Project Management; Strategic Management; Entrepreneurial Mindset and Action, New Venture Creation
6. Finance
   • Indicative Courses include: Introduction to Corporate Finance, Financial Derivatives, Fintech, Financial Markets & Institutions, Risk Management, Entrepreneurial Finance, Sustainable Finance, International Finance
7. Accounting
   • Indicative Courses include: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Accounting for Entrepreneurs

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach 12 credits per semester, normally equivalent to four three-credit courses, at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Deliver high-quality, face-to-face instruction in an international and multicultural learning environment.
• Contribute to course and curriculum development within the relevant disciplinary area.
• Provide academic advising and support to students, as appropriate.
• Participate in School activities and contribute to academic service.
• Represent and promote SolBridge through appropriate academic and professional networks.
• As this is primarily a teaching-focused position, research engagement and collaboration are encouraged but are not the primary responsibility.

Qualifications:

• A PhD in a relevant business discipline or closely related field from a recognized university. (or a Master’s Degree in Business and 15+ years of relevant industry experience)
• Demonstrated effectiveness in university-level teaching.
• The ability to teach multiple courses across one or more of the advertised academic areas.
• Experience with, or a demonstrated commitment to, experiential and student-centered learning approaches.
• The ability to use AI and other digital technologies purposefully and responsibly to enhance teaching and student learning.
• A strong commitment to face-to-face teaching and meaningful student engagement.
• The ability to work effectively in an international and culturally diverse academic environment.
• Strong English-language communication skills.
