SolBridge Assistant Professor Position for Spring 2027

Position:
Assistant Professor
This is a full-time, teaching-and-research, on-campus appointment based in Daejeon, South Korea. The position is offered on a renewable two-year contract.

March 1, 2027

Research Orientation:
This position is intended for candidates committed to developing an active and independent academic research program alongside their teaching responsibilities. We particularly welcome applicants with a coherent research agenda, a credible publication pipeline, and the potential to publish in high-quality, peer-reviewed academic journals.

- Marketing
- Indicative Courses include: Principles of Marketing, Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Communication, Strategic Marketing, Marketing Analytics
- Management & Entrepreneurship

- Finance

- Accounting
- Indicative Courses include: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Accounting for Entrepreneurs
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach 9 credits per semester, normally equivalent to three 3-credit courses, at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Maintain an active and independent research agenda leading to publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Contribute to the development of the School’s research culture through research collaboration, seminars and other scholarly activities.
- Deliver high-quality, face-to-face teaching in an international and multicultural learning environment.
- Contribute to course, curriculum and program development.
- Participate in academic advising, committee work, accreditation activities and other forms of service to the School.
- Represent and promote SolBridge through appropriate academic and professional networks.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in a relevant business discipline or closely related field from a recognized university.
- Evidence of, or strong potential for, high-quality academic research.
- A clearly defined research agenda and credible publication pipeline.
- The ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Experience with, or a demonstrated commitment to, experiential learning approaches.
- The ability to use AI and other digital technologies purposefully and responsibly to enhance teaching and student learning.
- The ability to contribute to one or more of the advertised academic areas.
- A commitment to face-to-face teaching, research and service.
- The ability to work effectively within an international and culturally diverse academic community.
- Strong English-language communication skills.
