Assistant Professor in Business Analytics, Operations Management

The Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) is inviting applications from outstanding candidates to fill positions in its Business Information and Decision Systems (BIDS) track. The positions are tenure-track, with priority for the Assistant Professor rank, in the following disciplines:

• Business Analytics
• Operations Management

We seek candidates who will advance research, teaching, and practice at the interface of analytics and business, or operations and business. By focusing on the research and application of analytics and operations, you will work at the leading edge of how these fields are transforming organizations. You will bring expertise in analytics and/or operations and connect it to the work of the Business Information and Decision Systems Track. We welcome candidates who have a broad, interdisciplinary interest in how data analytics and operations interact to drive business transformation.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. (from an AACSB or equivalent accredited organization) completed by the start date of the appointment.

The candidate will also provide evidence of high-quality scholarly output or potential for independent research leading to peer assessed publications. In addition, the candidate must prove strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels.

• A statement of current and prospective research   interests.

• A list of three referees.
