Full Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor in Finance and Accounting

The Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) is inviting applications from outstanding candidates to fill positions in its Finance Accounting and Managerial Economics (FAME) Track. The positions are tenure-track at the ranks of Full Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, in the following disciplines:

• Accounting
• Finance

The Finance and Accounting faculty hold Ph.D.’s from prestigious institutions in North America and Europe and have published in top-tier journals such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Review of Accounting Studies, and Journal of Banking and Finance. The school has a strong research infrastructure and provides access to leading financial databases including WRDS, CRSP, Compustat, I/B/E/S, SDC Platinum and Datastream.  It also dedicates research funding to support conference travel and other scholarly activities, in addition to rewarding publications in high-quality journals.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. (from an AACSB or equivalent accredited organization) completed by the start date of the appointment.

The candidate will also provide evidence of high-quality scholarly output or potential for independent research leading to peer assessed publications. In addition, the candidate must prove strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels.

• A statement of current and prospective research   interests.

• A list of three referees.
