Full-Time Faculty Openings

The School of Management at Universidad de los Andes (UASM), Bogotá, Colombia, invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in the following academic areas:

• Finance
• Marketing
• Strategy & Entrepreneurship

Positions are available at the Assistant and/or Associate Professor levels, depending on the academic area and the qualifications and experience of the candidate.

Universidad de los Andes School of Management seeks outstanding candidates with a strong commitment to high-quality research and teaching, demonstrated potential or a record of publication in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, and the ability to contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Finance

The Finance Area is particularly interested in candidates with strong research and teaching profiles in Financial Accounting, Financial Management and Corporate Finance, Green Finance, and Banking and Finance. Candidates working in related fields, including investments, quantitative risk management, and international finance, may also be considered depending on their qualifications.

Marketing

The Marketing Area welcomes candidates with strong quantitative skills who can conduct high-quality academic research and contribute to teaching in areas including Marketing Analytics, Branding, Pricing, Sales Management, and Marketing Channels. Candidates working in other areas of Marketing may also be considered depending on their academic profile.

Strategy & Entrepreneurship

The Strategy & Entrepreneurship Area welcomes candidates conducting research in corporate and competitive strategy, international business, business ecosystems, innovation management, regional development, small business, innovation-driven entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, entrepreneurial mindset, decision-making, entrepreneurial processes, and scaling, as well as related fields.

Candidate Profile

Candidates are expected to hold, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in a field relevant to the position and to demonstrate:

• Strong potential for, or an established record of, research and publication in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals.
• A commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs.
• A desire and aptitude to contribute to the academic and institutional development of the School.
• An interest in becoming an active member of a diverse and internationally oriented academic community.

Specific qualifications and expectations may vary according to the academic area and the level of appointment.
