About the Institution
Ganesh Real Estate Management Institute (GREMI) is a specialized real estate management institute established under the Mahamati Skill and Education Foundation, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Dedicated exclusively to real estate education, GREMI offers programs spanning real estate finance, law and regulation, and market analysis and marketing, and is expanding its core faculty as part of its institution-building phase. The institute is developing its academic offerings in line with AICTE/UGC norms and industry practice.
About the Openings
GREMI is expanding its core faculty team and is inviting applications for three specialized faculty positions as part of a single institution-building recruitment drive: Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Law, Regulations & Policy, and Real Estate Market Analysis & Marketing. Area 1: Real Estate Finance (Assistant / Associate / Full Professor)
GREMI is seeking a faculty member to teach, research, and mentor students in the domain of Real Estate Finance. The role involves delivering courses on real estate investment analysis, real estate finance, real estate valuation, REITs, and capital markets as applicable to the real estate sector, while contributing to curriculum design, research output, and institutional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver courses on Real Estate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Modeling, Real Estate Valuation, Project Finance, and REITs/capital markets.
- Prepare course curriculum, lesson plans, case studies, and assessment frameworks aligned with regulatory guidelines.
- Guide student projects, dissertations, and internships related to real estate finance and investment.
- Conduct research, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, and participate in seminars/conferences relevant to real estate finance.
- Build linkages with industry and regulators for collaboration, guest lectures, internships, and student career development.
- Support institutional accreditation, academic audits, and quality assurance processes.
- Participate in admissions outreach, student counseling, and academic administration if required.
- Stay current with regulatory and market developments in real estate finance.
Educational Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business/Finance/Real Estate Finance or related area.
- PhD in Finance/Real Estate Finance from institutions of global repute and ranking with good track record of publications.
- Candidates in the final stages of their submission may also be considered for Assistant Professor role.
Experience Required
- Candidates with 3–5 years of academic, research, or industry experience in real estate finance, investment banking, corporate finance, real estate investment, fund management, or financial advisory or financial services shall be preferred.
- Associate Professor/Full Professor: Applicants with academic and research profile commensurate to these shall be considered, as per the recommendation of the selection committee.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong command over financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, comparables), and real estate investment analysis.
- Familiarity with real estate capital markets, REITs, and project finance structures.
- Excellent classroom delivery, communication, and student mentoring ability.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling tools, and statistical/analytical software.
- Ability to contribute to research, case-study writing, and academic publications.
Area 2: Real Estate Law, Regulations & Policy (Assistant / Associate Professor)
GREMI is seeking a faculty member with strong academic and/or practical grounding in real estate law and regulatory frameworks to teach courses covering RERA, land laws, property registration, urban planning regulations, and real estate-related legal compliance, while contributing to research and institutional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses on Real Estate Law, RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) compliance, Land Acquisition Laws, Property and Transfer Laws, Urban Planning Regulations, and Contract Law as applicable to real estate.
- Develop curriculum, case studies, and teaching material on evolving real estate regulations and policy frameworks.
- Guide students on regulatory research projects, moot exercises, and dissertations related to real estate law and policy.
- Track and interpret changes in central and state-level real estate legislation, taxation policy (GST, stamp duty), and urban development regulations for classroom application.
- Engage with legal practitioners, government authorities, municipal bodies, and policy think-tanks for guest sessions and collaboration.
- Contribute to institutional compliance advisory, publications, and academic quality processes.
- Support accreditation processes and participate in academic committees as required.
Educational Qualifications
- Master's qualification from an institute of repute in a cognate area.
- Assistant Professor: PhD in Law with focus on built environment aspects. Candidates pursuing or committed to pursuing a doctorate may also be considered.
- Associate Professor: Doctorate in the areas mentioned above, plus 3–5 years of experience serving as an assistant professor.
- NET/SLET/SET or equivalent qualification as applicable under AICTE/UGC norms.
Experience Required
- 3–5 years of teaching, research, or industry experience in real estate law, regulation, or policy is preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience with RERA authorities, municipal/urban planning bodies, or real estate compliance functions is desirable.
Key Skills & Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of RERA, land revenue laws, property registration, and urban development regulations.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and case analysis capability.
- Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into accessible classroom content.
- Good communication, mentoring, and academic writing skills.
- Awareness of taxation and compliance aspects affecting real estate transactions.
Area 3: Real Estate Market Analysis & Marketing (Assistant / Associate / Full Professor)
GREMI is seeking a faculty member to teach and guide students in Real Estate Market Analysis and Marketing, covering market research, demand-supply analysis, branding and sales strategy, digital marketing, and consumer behavior in the real estate sector, while contributing to research and institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses on Real Estate Market Analysis, Market Research Methods, Real Estate Marketing & Branding, and Product Concept Development. Familiarity with Sales Strategy, Digital Marketing, and Consumer Behavior in real estate is an added advantage.
- Develop curriculum, live projects, and case studies based on current real estate market trends and marketing practices.
- Guide student projects on market feasibility studies, marketing plans, and go-to-market strategies for real estate products.
- Build industry linkages with real estate developers, brokerage firms, and marketing agencies for guest lectures, internships, and live projects.
- Conduct and publish research on real estate market trends, consumer behavior, and marketing effectiveness in the sector.
- Support institutional branding, admissions outreach, and academic marketing initiatives where relevant.
- Participate in accreditation processes and academic quality assurance activities.
Educational Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant discipline from institutions of repute.
- Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Housing, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred; candidates in the final stages of their Ph.D. may also be considered.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. in the areas mentioned above, plus 3–5 years of experience with good research portfolio serving as an assistant professor.
- Full Professor: Applicants with academic and research profile commensurate to these shall be considered, as per the recommendation of the selection committee.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching, research, or industry experience in real estate marketing, sales, market research, or brand management.
- Prior experience in real estate appraisal, development, marketing, market research, or consulting roles is desirable.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of real estate market research methods, demand-supply analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Knowledge of branding, sales strategy, digital marketing, and consumer behavior frameworks applied to real estate.
- Excellent presentation, classroom delivery, and student mentoring ability.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and market research techniques.
- Ability to build and sustain industry relationships for collaborative academic initiatives.
Compensation
As per the guidelines provided by the University Grants Commission of India, commensurate with qualifications and experience. GREMI offers generous support for conference participation (international/domestic), health insurance, and other allowances. High-quality research is incentivized.
