The four research platforms
- Genetic & Molecular Engineering — CRISPR gene drives for malaria elimination; India-specific vector population genomics
- Bio Printing & Synthesis — Gene therapy and CRISPR correction for sickle cell disease and thalassemia, the conditions India carries the world’s largest burden of
- Biomanufacturing & Fermentation — Synthetic biology and microbial engineering for industrial bioremediation and environmental pollution
- Agricultural & Plant Genomics — CRISPR crop engineering for drought resilience and yield improvement in India’s staple crops
Who we are looking for
- Researchers who want to work on India’s biological problems with global-standard infrastructure — not despite one, because of the other
- Indian-origin scientists at MIT, UCL, Broad Institute, A*STAR, or CIMMYT who want to come back to something worth coming back to
- Senior industry scientists from pharma or CDMO who want a genuine research home, not a consultancy role
- Early-career post-docs from IISc, TIFR, or international institutions drawn to high-autonomy, problem-defined research
