The Role

DMUC invites applications for Lecturers (Teaching-Focused) to deliver modules on the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) programme.

The IFY prepares students for progression to leading universities in the UK and worldwide. Successful candidates will contribute to a high-quality student experience through effective teaching, assessment, and academic support.

Posts are available in the following disciplines:

Business

Economics

Computer Science

Mathematics

Global Studies

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching aligned with NCUK programme specifications and standards

Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and assessments

Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work

Support students’ academic development and progression

Monitor student engagement, attendance, and performance

Contribute to module delivery, standardisation, and quality assurance processes

Participate in academic and administrative duties as required

Person Specification

Essential

Master’s degree (or above) in a relevant discipline

Experience teaching in higher education, foundation, or equivalent programmes

Strong understanding of curriculum delivery and assessment practices

Ability to engage and motivate a diverse, international student cohort

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable

PhD in a relevant discipline

Experience with international foundation or pathway programmes (e.g. NCUK)

Familiarity with UK higher education standards and quality frameworks

Experience teaching international students
