Kuwait Technical College (ktech), which has been operational since 2014 and located in, Ahmadi, Kuwait is a private higher education institution that focuses on bridging academic knowledge with practical, career-ready skills. It offers diploma and bachelor programs through two schools: the School of Business Management and the School of Information Systems and Technology, addressing Kuwait’s growing demand for expertise in digital and economic fields.
The School of Information Systems and Technology specializes in Cybersecurity, providing both diploma and bachelor’s programs with a strong emphasis on hands-on skills and applied knowledge. The School of Business Management provides both diploma and bachelor’s programs in Accounting, Marketing and Management of Information Systems.

Position Summary

ktech invites applications for the position of Professor in Accounting. The appointment will be based strictly on academic merit, research productivity, verified teaching experience, and compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements.

Duties and Academic Responsibilities

The appointed faculty member shall:

1. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accordance with approved curricula.
2. Supervise student research projects and academic activities.
3. Provide professional mentorship to students.
4. Develop and maintain an independent research agenda with measurable scholarly output.
5. Publish in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals indexed in reputable databases.
6. Participate in academic committees and institutional governance.
7. Contribute to curriculum development and program review processes.
8. Support accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.

Eligibility and Academic Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• A PhD degree in Accounting
• The bachelor’s and Master’s degree may be in Business/Finance or a closely related field.
• All degrees must be awarded by accredited universities and obtained through traditional, on-campus study formats.

Academic Rank and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a reputable academic institution and must have held the academic rank of Associate Professor for 4 years and the academic rank of Assistant Professor for 4 years.

Research and Scholarly Requirements

• Minimum 13 full-length, high-quality academic papers published in reputable international peer-reviewed journals.
• Publications must meet recognized academic standards
• A Scopus h-index of 20 or higher is preferred.
• At least three (3) publications within the last five years.
• The applicant must be first author on a minimum of seven (7) publications.
• Research extracted directly from the applicant’s MSc or PhD thesis will not be counted.

2. Official Experience Certificates verifying academic appointments.
3. Official Promotion Letters confirm academic rank advancement.
4. Teaching Evaluation Reports issued by the employing academic institution.

6. Research and Teaching Statements.
7. Copy of passport and recent photograph.
8. Applicants must provide a valid contact number (including international country code) and an active email address for official correspondence.

1. Annual range (based on experience and qualifications) of USD 95,000 to USD 130,000)

2. Online Interview (Microsoft Teams): Shortlisted candidates will attend an initial interview conducted via Microsoft Teams.
3. Teaching Demonstration: Candidates may be required to deliver a demo lecture either online or during the campus visit. The specified subject will be shared after the first interview.

Final selection will be based on academic qualifications, research profile, interview performance, and teaching demonstration.
