Assistant or Associate Professor in Finance

The School of Management at the University of Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) seeks applications to fill several full-time positions at the assistant and associate professor levels in Finance. Preference will be given to faculty with a strong commitment to research in this field, demonstrated by a record of publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and who will engage in the design, delivery, and assessment of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. This call will prioritize candidates with solid research/teaching in: (1) Financial Accounting (2) Financial Management / Corporate Finance, (3) Green Finance, (4) Banking and Finance;

Nonetheless, according to the candidate’s qualifications, we will consider other fields such as investments, quantitative risk management, and international finance. 

Aspiring junior researchers must have earned or near completion of a Ph.D. degree in Business, Economics, or Finance, and have a demonstrated record of publications in quality peer-reviewed journals.

We are interested in candidates with:

  • A Ph.D. – completed or near completion in the field of finance, economics, management or related fields.
  • A desire and aptitude to contribute to the institutional development of a successful and fast-growing educational establishment.
  • Potential for research and publication in international peer-reviewed journals. An ability to contribute to different undergraduate core and elective courses and postgraduate programs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching, including the ability to engage diverse student audiences, integrate innovative pedagogical methods.
