Assistant / Associate Professor of Quantitative Methods

Founded in 1909, ESSCA is an internationally accredited business school (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) located on 10 campuses: Angers, Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Budapest, Luxembourg, Lyon, Malaga, Paris, Shanghai, and Strasbourg. The school offers a wide range of programmes including undergraduate, integrated masters, MSc, and executive programmes.

ESSCA’s Operations Management and Decision Science (OMDS) Academic Department is seeking an Assistant or an Associate Professor of Quantitative Methods for its Lyon campus.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Quantitative Methods or any related field and have a proven experience in higher education.

The candidate must be fluent in French (i.e., between Intermediate and Upper intermediate level, which corresponds to a level between B1/B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), and be able to teach in English to various audiences (undergraduates, graduates, and Executives).

Prior corporate experience would be an advantage.

The main missions of the position include:

  • Teaching courses in Quantitative Methods.
  • Research: candidate must have high potential or a significant record of academic publications in peer-reviewed journals in the areas of Quantitative Methods.
  • Multi-campus course coordination and working with faculty members on all campus, as a team player with good communication skills.
  • Mentoring and supervision of students.
  • Participation in the life of the institution.
