To support this extraordinary journey, we are looking for a:

Vice President of Quality Assurance at HLTU

Location: Sanya, China
Contract: Full-time, Open-ended
Start Date: to be discussed, ideally early March 2026
Reports to: HLTU Managing President and functionally to EHL Headquarters

Your Mission

As the Vice President of Quality Assurance, you will be the guardian of academic integrity and excellence at HLTU. You will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive quality assurance system that aligns with EHL’s global standards, international accreditation bodies (NECHE, AACSB), and Chinese Ministry of Education requirements.

Your mission is to ensure that all programs, processes, and institutional operations meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. Through strategic leadership, you will help embed EHL’s educational philosophy in Sanya, position HLTU as a benchmark institution in China, and ensure that the quality foundations of the university are robust, transparent, and internationally recognized.

What You Will Do

Strategic Quality Leadership

• Define and implement HLTU’s quality assurance vision, ensuring full alignment with EHL, accreditation bodies, and national requirements.
• Lead the development of a comprehensive quality management system covering both program-level and institutional-level quality processes.

Accreditation & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with EHL standards, NECHE, AACSB, and Chinese MoE regulations.
• Coordinate and prepare for internal and external quality audits.
• Maintain all documentation and evidence required for audits, accreditation cycles, and regulatory reporting.

Governance & Academic Oversight

• Oversee the Academic Council and ensure effective governance of academic quality.
• Establish and update policies, procedures, and mechanisms that guarantee academic integrity and program effectiveness.
• Monitor the student admission process to ensure compliance with EHL standards.

Assurance of Learning (AoL)

• Define, implement, and monitor AoL plans in accordance with accreditation and internal quality frameworks.
• Collect and analyze quality-related data to support evidence-based improvements.

Continuous Improvement

• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across academic and administrative areas.
• Ensure best practices in curriculum design, faculty qualifications, assessment methods, student support services, and program delivery.

Institutional Alignment

• Ensure seamless integration of EHL’s philosophy, culture, and quality principles throughout HLTU.
• Work closely with the VP of Teaching & Academic Affairs, faculty leadership, and EHL Governance teams to maintain consistency and alignment.

Global Engagement

• Lead internationalization efforts through faculty exchanges, global academic partnerships, and participation in international academic and industry forums.
• Enhance the global visibility of HLTU and its integration within EHL’s global academic network.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all academic programs and initiatives meet EHL quality standards, local accreditation criteria, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with local authorities and the EHL Group on program licensing and continuous quality improvement.

Communication & Alignment

• Maintain open, transparent, and effective communication between HLTU leadership, faculty, and EHL.
• Ensure consistent alignment between institutional strategy, educational operations, and group-level expectations.
• Oversee the implementation of the licensing manual and all related educational procedures.

Who You Are

• Holder of a Master’s degree in a relevant field (higher education management, education, political science, management); a doctorate is a strong plus.
• At least 7–10 years of senior experience in Quality Assurance within a higher education institution.
• Strong familiarity with accreditation bodies such as NECHE, AACSB, and national regulatory requirements.
• Experienced in academic governance, policy development, and institutional quality systems.
• Fluent in English (required); Mandarin is a plus.
• Experience in tourism or hospitality education is an advantage.
• A strong communicator with excellent analytical skills, capable of leading change and building trust across diverse teams.
