Assistant Professor in Accounting, Finance or related areas

The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FCEA) of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana invites applications for a full-time position at the Assistant Professor level, starting January or July 2026. For this appointment, we are seeking high quality candidates with a PhD in accounting, finance or related areas to teach and conduct research in our Accounting Department. We are also interested in candidates with a Master's degree in taxation. All candidates are required to demonstrate communication skills in English and Spanish.

Located in the modern, eastern area of Bogota, Colombia, La Javeriana is a non-profit and private higher education institution. It was founded in 1623 by the Society of Jesus, and is currently one of the oldest and most prestigious Colombian universities, which has traditionally educated the Colombian elite. Its mission is to educate professionals that stand out due to their academic formation, human quality, ethics and social responsibility. FCEA has undergraduate and graduate programs in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, data sciences, international business and more. We provide generous incentives for publication, research funds, as well as the possibility to hire junior research assistants. The standard teaching load is two courses per semester.
