Assistant Professor / Senior Researcher in International Business (Innovation and Sustainability)

The Department of International Business at the Prague University of Economics and Business (Faculty of International Relations) is seeking an accomplished and motivated academic researcher for the position of Assistant Professor/ Senior researcher in the field of International Business with respect to innovation and sustainability.

Job Description

The objective of the position is to lead and carry out the research in the field of international business (for example, international marketing, management or logistics) tackling the current economic, technological, and societal changes. We look for a candidate who actively contributes to international business-related areas, such as international business strategies and environment, internationalization of SMEs, changing business models due to geopolitical changes, and AI and digitalisation, as well as sustainability.
We are looking for a candidate with a Ph.D. degree from a renowned university. The appointee will be required to conduct research in the field of international business and collaborate with other research teams in the department (and faculty), both nationally and internationally.
The researcher is expected to lead research team(s) in the department, including attracting funding from national and international sources and growing the research team. The suitable candidate would continuously work on the expansion of national and international networks involving both academics and practitioners.

Qualification requirements

Qualifications

• PhD (or an equivalent) degree in a relevant field; candidates with a multidisciplinary background and experience in a range of business research methods both qualitative and quantitative are encouraged to apply.
• Postdoctoral or other international work experience in areas related to the described research.
• A strong publication record in high-quality journals that proves the ability for high-quality and relevant research in business, marketing, management, or related fields.
• Proven ability to obtain research funding from national as well as international sources.
• Experience in leading research groups and coordinating research activities.
• Active participation in relevant international scholarly networks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• The ability to work in international teams.
• Fluent written and oral communication skills in English.
