As part of this trajectory, the Department of Management, Technology and Strategy of Grenoble Ecole de Management invites applications for a full-time position of assistant or associate professor in Strategy and Energy Transition for September 2025. Candidates must hold a PhD in Management by the start date of the position.

Candidates are expected to have the competences to teach Strategic Management and/or Innovation Management and specialisation courses related to corporate responses to energy transition. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching students at various levels, along with a proactive and collegial attitude. The position involves:

  • Teaching at various levels (from Bachelor to Master + possibilities in MBA and Executive Education) using innovative pedagogy ;
  • Supervising students for their Master’s thesis and their professional experiences (internships or apprenticeships), as well as supervising DBA students ;
  • Engaging and taking part in GEM’s school life and ecosystem ;
  • Publishing in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals indexed in the ABS or FNEGE list.

Candidates may apply both in French or English. While not required, fluency in both French and English languages is considered a valuable asset. Remuneration will be proportionate to the applicant's academic qualifications and experience.

We seek a candidate who would integrate the Energy and Environmental Management (EEM) research team. The EEM team combines research on strategic management, technology innovation and energy policy in order to create and share knowledge that will help businesses and society move towards a low-carbon future. Team members publish in high ranked journals including Research Policy, Energy economics, Energy Policy, Ecological economics, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Organization & Environment. The team contributes to two research chairs: the Chair Energy for Society and Chaire Européenne de la Transition du Territoire in partnership with Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. Research currently conducted within the team focuses on acceptability of energy transition, individual carbon footprint, twin transition, digitalization of energy markets. The team also manages a Msc program entitled Energy Business and Climate Strategy and is involved in teaching in a specialized master on Management and Marketing of Energy and Energy Transition as well as a MBA tech with a specialization in alternative energies. The team has a culture of applying and managing external funding, such as industry-contracts and publicly funded research.
