Job Qualifications:
The School of Management at the University of Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) seeks applications to fill several full-time positions at the assistant professor level in Finance. Preference will be given to faculty with a strong commitment to research in this field, demonstrated by a record of publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and who will engage in the design, delivery, assessment of courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. This call will prioritize candidates with solid research/teaching in: (1) Financial Accounting (2) Financial Management / Corporate Finance, (3) Green Finance, (4) Banking and Finance;
Nonetheless, according to the candidate’s qualifications, we will consider other fields such as investments, quantitative risk management, and international finance.
Aspiring junior researchers must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Business, Economics, or Finance, near completion of the Ph.D., and have a demonstrated record of publications in quality peer-reviewed journals. We are also open to successful mid-career candidates who could qualify for the level of Associate Professor.
We are interested in candidates with:
A Ph.D. - completed or near completion in the field of finance, economics, management or related fields.
A desire and aptitude to contribute to a successful and fast-growing educational establishment.
Potential for research and publication in international peer-reviewed journals. An ability to contribute to different undergraduate core and elective courses and postgraduate programs.

About us
Universidad de los Andes School of Management (henceforth UASM) is located in Bogota, Colombia. It is one of the ten constitutive academic schools within Universidad de los Andes (Uniandes), its parent institution. Uniandes is a private, non-profit, non-denominational university founded in 1948. The University has a total of over 700 core faculty, over 14,000 students at the undergraduate level, almost 4,000 students at the graduate level, and over 300 at the doctoral level. Uniandes has improved its position within the QS university ranking from 335th worldwide in 2012 to 198th in 2024 and 7th within Latin America.

The school’s programme portfolio comprises one Undergraduate programme in Management and 16 graduate programmes, including Part-time MBA, Executive MBA and Online MBA; specialized master programmes in Finance, Marketing, Environmental Management, Development Practice, Supply Chain Management, International Finance, and Regeneration and Sustainability (online); and Master of Science in Management (MScM) and Doctoral programme in Management (PhD). Additionally, the school is a partner in the Masters and Doctoral programme in Technology Management, joint with the School of Architecture and Design and the School of Engineering, and in the Global Markets, Local Creativities (Erasmus Mundus International Master) joint with the University of Glasgow, Universitat de Barcelona, Uppsala University, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Georg-August Universität Göttingen and Kyoto University.
