SKEMA Business School (https://www.skema.edu/) invites applications for a position of Program Director of the MSc Financial Markets & Investments (FMI). The successful candidate will collaborate with world-leading faculty, motivated and engaged students, committed team in USA and France, and other relevant internal and external stakeholders to manage successfully the program, and help maintain its position as a leading program in finance worldwide (ranked 3rd by FT worldwide in 2024).

This position offers a one-year contract for the first year, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent, full-time contract thereafter. The role is permanent with full-time commitment. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, aligned with international standards. SKEMA Business School provides publication bonuses for peer-reviewed articles. The working and teaching language is English, and proficiency in French is not required and will not be considered as a selection criterion.

Qualifications must include:

  • Relevant professional experience in financial markets and investments
  • Doctoral degree in finance or related field preferred Teaching experience at the university level with a focus on finance or related fields
  • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to sustainably develop and implement program strategies
  • Proven record of intellectual contributions to the business community Commitment to service and/or outreach activities

Expectations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the program Collaborate with the Global Program Manager to develop and manage the curriculum
  • Participate in the student selection process
  • Identify, recruit and manage external lecturers, in collaboration with Academic Management on the Raleigh campus
  • Contribute to the strategy, visibility and reputation of the program, towards the major consulting firms and other stakeholders
  • Develop partnerships with top firms, in collaboration with Corporate Relations
  • Contribute to positioning the program in international rankings and to ensure global compliance with relevant quality assurance and accreditation standards
  • Participate to enhance students’ employability among most prestigious organizations in the field of financial markets and investments
  • Deliver courses in the field of specialization
  • Be a good academic citizen / commit to the life of the institution
  • Connect internationally and create an international community based on SKEMA footprint

The MSc in Financial Markets & Investments is a market-driven finance program that closely reflects the constantly changing world of international finance. The teaching and curriculum use a practical approach.

Students are educated in a custom-made academic environment that facilitates success across a wide variety of market finance jobs. FMI gives students practical expertise for key areas of finance in the new post-crisis environment.

Students learn the latest methods in trading, risk management, ethics and compliance, sales, private and investment banking as well as sustainable finance.
