Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor in Human Resources Management F/M

The Institut Lyfe is an international higher education institution specialized in hospitality, food service and culinary arts management. Founded in 1990, the Institut Lyfe is the only private school in this field recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. It offers cutting-edge education (Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, PhD study programs) to 1200 students from more than 75 nationalities.

It is the only school in France that have a Michelin-starred application restaurant, a 5-star hôtel-school and a Research Center whose scientific work contributes to the quality of our teaching, with a forward-looking vision of the Hospitality and Culinary Arts professions.

As part of a new position creation, we are looking for a Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor in Human Resources Management on a permanent contract, from September 2025.

Job description :

1/Teaching:

• Teaching at Bachelor and/or Master level, in French and in English
• Supervising students in pedagogical projects or academic work
• Contributing to innovative teaching and learning methods
• Carrying out assessments within the academic framework set by syllabi
• Contributing actively to the development of programs and syllabi
• Ensuring administrative and academic follow-up
• Maintaining a solid national and international contacts network in the higher education and hospitality sector

2/ Research (for Assistant/Associate Professor):

• Publishing in international peer-reviewed journals in the area of expertise (CNRS – FNEGE - ABS)
• Participating in the research activities of the Institut Lyfe
• Conducting research and build synergies to strengthen interdisciplinary approaches in hospitality and culinary arts research

Required skills:

• Master’s Degree or PhD in HR/Management, or a related field (e.g. Hospitality Management with an HR focus).
• At least 2 years of experience teaching in HR/Management
• Experienced with innovative learning approaches, especially in simulation or business games
• Ability to merge theoretical knowledge with practical application
• Ability to teach in French and in English
• Team spirit, rigor and professionalism

For Assistant/Associate Professor: A potential (for Assistant Professor) or a demonstrated ability (for Associate Professor) to publish in reputable academic journals (e.g. FNEGE, ABS)

Having experience in the hotel-restaurant or culinary arts sector would be an advantage.

• Contract : Permanent contract
• Starting date : September 2025 (negotiable)
• Statut : Executive, 216 working days a year
• Remuneration : 45K€ - 52K€ brut annuel
• Work location : Ecully campus, 69130
