Job Description:
The School of Business anticipates openings for faculty positions in the Department of Economics at the level of Assistant/Associate/Professor for a fixed term four-year appointment, to begin in Fall 2024. The Department of Economics seeks a candidate with an exceptional teaching and research records while transcending traditional mainstream output in the areas of Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics and Financial Economics.
The candidate is expected to build a diverse research team in collaboration with local and international participants addressing the manner in which the above sub-disciplines specifically relate to the Middle East and African regions. Strong practical quantitative and research methodology skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, actively engage in research and service, and supervise masters' theses. Finally, all faculty must be willing to teach introductory courses.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a PhD in economics or closely related field from a reputable university, preferably AACSB and/or EQUIS accredited with a record of active research agenda and teaching experience.
