SKEMA Business School (https://www.skema.edu/) and the SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence invite applications for a position at Assistant Professor rank, in Artificial Intelligence for Management, to begin September 2025. The successful candidate will develop and/or lead academic research projects to publish in the field's highest-quality journals.

The position is permanent with a full-time contract. Salary and conditions are competitive, in line with international standards. SKEMA Business School offers publication bonuses for peer-reviewed publications. The language of work and teaching is English. Knowledge of French is not required and is not a criterion for selection. SKEMA Business School offers support in learning French.

Qualifications must include:

• Hold or about to complete a Ph.D. in Management or a related field (with orientation in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Robotics) or a related area.
• Have a strong research orientation and track record, as demonstrated by a publication track record in highly regarded management journals on the CABS-FNEGE-FT50 lists or show potential.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a collegial environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellence in quantitative methods.
• Strong interest in investing in the research focus on Artificial Intelligence in Management.
• Commitment to service and/or outreach activities.

Expectations :

• Publish peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals.
• Teach courses in the area of management, with a focus in strategy.
• Supervise master students.
• Show academic citizenship, commit to the life of the institution, and contribute to the projects related to the school’s strategy.

ABOUT RESEARCH

The hired candidate will join the SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), which includes around 20 faculty members and 4 PhD students. This interdisciplinary team of social scientists, AI researchers, and engineers collaborates to explore AI-driven business opportunities.

SKEMA Center for AI organizes regular research seminars, international workshops and contributes with publications in top-ranked journals.

The Research Center explores how AI Systems interact and collaborate with people to enhance human abilities and empower both individuals and society creating sustainable value at four different levels:

• Business value: integrating AI into products, improving performance across the value chain, and enabling ecosystems and new market collaboration.
• Ethical value: ensuring responsible AI that respects human freedoms and dignity.
• Societal value: promoting environmental sustainability and accountability.
• Algorithmic value: developing advanced AI techniques and algorithms with increasingly superior performance while attending to the explainability of such techniques to assure that the other kinds of value can be enabled.

The Research Centre examines Artificial Intelligence’s impact on various business areas (finance, marketing, strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship) across multiple sectors (education, energy, healthcare, public administration, banks, insurance, retail, tourism, and luxury) offering guidance to organizations in leveraging AI for sustainable value creation.
