Applications are invited for a Temporary (22 months) post of a Senior Business Researcher within UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business.
The UCD College of Business is recruiting a senior researcher to join an interdisciplinary team to examine the human side of implementing digital technologies (particularly artificial intelligence), within a manufacturing environment. The approach is described as human-centric manufacturing, which is based on the idea that people should be at the centre of the manufacturing process, and that their safety, comfort, and satisfaction should be taken into consideration when designing and implementing production systems. The successful applicant will work within a small team focused on human-centric manufacturing, to identify best practices for the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) within Irish manufacturing. The longer-term objective will be to help inform critical Government policy decisions in this area. The researcher work is funded by the SFI funded, I-Form Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (i-form.ie).
Salary: €44,350 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
