Your role

We are looking for two senior researchers and lecturers in the area of circular economy who have an understanding of what circular
economy means for business and is able to translate that into effective research and teaching.

• You will carry out independent research and publish your findings in relevant journals. In your research, you will deal with current issues in the circular economy and contribute to the development of the field.
• You will apply for research grants, lead research projects or support the Center in doing so.
• You will teach and (co-)develop courses in the broader field of circular economy at bachelor, master and executive level.
• You are available as an expert on circular economy issues and advise both internal and external stakeholders.You will contribute your specialist knowledge to discussion groups, specialist conferences and consultations.
• You will work closely with colleagues from the Center and other specialist areas to develop innovative solutions for the complex issues of the circular economy.

Your profile

• PhD in business, engineering, social or natural sciences, or several years of practical and academic experience in the area of circular economy and/or sustainability
• A background in circular economy/sustainability with a focus on business related questions (e.g., new business models for the circular economy, technology and innovation, life cycle analysis)
• Experience in teaching to different audiences, demonstrated by evaluations with consistently high ratings
• Proven track record in successfully managing industry-academia collaboration, e.g., through work with corporate partners on joint research projects or funding initiatives
• Leadership skills, communication skills and entrepreneurial spirit
• Excellent communication skills in English are essential; a good knowledge of German is a plus
