The Department of Economics and Business - University of Sassari seeks candidates for Ph.D. positions in Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods for the next cohort, which starts in November 2024.
The Ph.D. Program in Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods (EMQM) is a full-time (3 years) curriculum of study and research.
The Department of Economics and Business - University of Sassari (DiSea focuses its studies on the fields of economics, business, mathematical statistics, and law. For the second consecutive five-year period (2017-2022, 2023-2027), the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) has recognized DiSea as a Department of Excellence. Department members conduct research on a wide range of topics and publish the results in national and international journals of high scientific standing. DiSea offers several bachelor's degree programs, master's degree programs, and a doctoral program.
DiSea has a solid commitment to excellence in teaching and research. The Ph.D. program trains students for high-level academic and practice-oriented research. Candidates have a structured study plan and attend courses that expose them to diverse theories and methods. While preparing their Ph.D. thesis, students are encouraged to combine diverse perspectives, span disciplinary boundaries, and, more generally, think out of the box.

In addition to scholarship (about € 1,200 net per month), candidates will be offered office space and access to the library, software, and databases. Ph.D. candidates will receive a research budget and additional funds during their six-month mandatory period abroad. They can also increase their salary by working as teaching assistants and tutors.
