Tenure-Track Positions

The Department of Business at Universitat Autònoma Barcelona (UAB) invites applications for full time positions for junior level candidates in all the areas of a Business School (Management, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Information Systems…) The positions will be effective in September 2025 and continue over a maximum period of six years.

The Department is going to support candidates to develop a research career, and we expect that this will be certified by ANECA, AQU as an Associate Professor and get the tenure. The teaching duties would be 90 hours /year approximately at the undergraduate/graduate level and the rest of time dedicated to research. There are no administrative responsibilities.

The Department of Business at UAB has active research and teaching groups in all the above- mentioned areas with more than 100 employees. It is in the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies at UAB, Campus Bellaterra (Barcelona), Spain.

Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is a well-known university at the top rankings of Spanish universities. The University currently enrols about 40,000 students, with 3,500 academics (teaching and research staff) and is located 15 km from the city of Barcelona with excellent public transport facilities.

Qualifications: The candidate must have a PhD in a related area received before September 2025. He/she must demonstrate a strong commitment to scholarly research and potential for high-quality research with reasonable publications in international refereed journals or expectations for potential future publications. Flexibility to join and collaborate with the research in progress in the department will be considered. The candidates are also expected to actively engage in research seminars and similar activities at the Department. As regards teaching, demonstrated teaching competences in the related fields of the position are also required. The candidate should have good communication skills in English (applicants must be fluent but not necessarily native speakers) and familiarity with a technologically infused academic environment. An Accreditation of Tenure Track Lecturer or Assistant Doctoral Lecturer is preferential but not exclusive merit.
