The school offers a wide range of programmes including undergraduate, integrated masters, MSc, and executive programmes.

ESSCA’s Economics, Law and Society (ECLS) Academic Department is seeking an Assistant or an Associate Professor in Sociology for its Angers Campus.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the ECLS department who can make a significant contribution to our research and teaching strategy. The focuses its work on the fields of Economics, Law, and Social Science. The position is open to candidates with a high potential for, or a significant record of, academic publications.

Requirements for the position include:

  • a PhD in Sociology, or a related field,
  • a proven track record of teaching and an innovative, applied research agenda,
  • strong communication skills, including the ability to teach in English to a variety of student audiences (undergraduates, graduates, and executives),
  • knowledge of French, or willing to learn this language with the ESSCA’s support, is an advantage,
  • the ability to work as part of a team.

Interest in the areas of international relations/European studies, or automotive industry, its distribution, associated services and smart cities, would also be beneficial. The ECLS research topics are encompassed within the larger theme of Responsible Leadership, in accordance with the ESSCA expertise in this domain.
