Villum Kann Rasmussen Professor Bent Flyvbjerg is extending his research team in Copenhagen. The Danish Institute for IT Program Management at the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) offers one or more Postdoctoral Research Fellowships for a two-year duration, with a possible extension. The starting date is negotiable.

The main areas of research are IT projects and IT program management. Applicants are not required to have research experience in these fields. Candidates from, for example, the following fields are also welcome: statistics, economics, business administration, geography, biology, engineering, physics, or similar.

The Post-doctoral Research Fellow will be responsible for both their own research and publications and support of other research activities within DIIP, predominantly those of VKR Professor Bent Flyvbjerg.

Requirements

Candidates will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD-degree.
  • Experience with quantitative research.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • One or more publications in well-cited journals.

Job description

The Post-doctoral Research Fellow’s main tasks will be research and writing aimed at publication in leading journals or university press. Data collection (supported by research assistants) and data analyses (supported by statisticians) will be part of the job.
