Dean of the Faculty of Business Management

Kuwait College of Science and Technology, a vibrant private university in Kuwait offering degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electronic and Communications Engineering fully accredited by the nation’s Ministry of Higher Education/Private Universities Council, is recruiting a Dean for its soon to be established Faculty of Business Management.

The university commenced operations in January 2016 and already has a full-time student population in excess of 1,700 and a significant record of research. One of the cornerstones of the university’s strategy is Engineering with Strategy, which means that the university aims at producing graduates in science and engineering who are not only aware but conversant with management theory and techniques. In accordance with this strategy, KCST’s current science and engineering curricula already contain significant portions of economics, management, and entrepreneurship contents.

As part of its expansion plans, the university has applied to the relevant authorities for an increase in the number of engineering programs, as well as a Faculty of Business Management, which will offer degrees in Accounting and Finance, as well as various specializations of Management. The new faculty will continue to provide teaching and research in support of the Faculty of Engineering and will absorb the Departments of Management/Social Science and Languages, already in operation.

Successful candidates are expected to have:

• A PhD degree in Accounting, Finance or Management from a reputed and internationally accredited University.
• The rank of Full Professor from a reputable university
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.
• At least 10 years of proven experience in academic administration
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills
• An exceptional record of research publication
• A track record in graduate and postgraduate teaching, as well research supervision in one or more of the faculty’s teaching areas
• Acute awareness of multi-cultural differences in the world of education
• Work experience in the Middle East as an advantage
