emlyon business school is currently seeking candidates for their PhD program. Applicants must hold a bachelor or master’s degree and show strong intellectual ability and commitment to and interest in academic work.

PhD students are based at the Lyon campus.

About the Program: emlyon business school’s PhD in Management is a 5-year fully funded program focusing specifically on the areas of organization theory, strategy and entrepreneurship. In the first two years students acquire the theoretical knowledge and methodological skills needed to become successful researchers through a variety of courses delivered by our research-driven international faculty. The final three years are devoted to designing and conducting a larger-scale, ambitious empirical project with the intention of contributing to a theoretical conversation and publishing this work in top academic outlets. Each year we admit only a select few doctoral students so that the program remains small, intimate and fully funded.

Financial support: All PhD students benefit from generous financial support coming to a total of around 19,000 euros per year. Tuition fees are waived.
