Full-time, permanent Assistant / Associate / Full Professor positions in FINANCE

About the positions

Relying on its strong and continuous growth, NEOMA Business School is seeking to hire Full-time, all ranks permanent/tenured faculty members in all areas of finance, including – but not limited to – big data, machine learning, decentralized finance, entrepreneurial finance, fintech, asset pricing, corporate finance. Applications are welcomed to any professorial level – Assistant, Associate, or Full. Please notice that all positions (including the Assistant Professor positions) at NEOMA are permanent, tenured positions.

This is a fantastic time for research-oriented scholars to join NEOMA. We have just launched four new, multidisciplinary research areas – the Areas of Excellence – that will catalyze research about timely topics for business and society: The Future of Work, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, & Business, The World We Want (focusing on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals), and The Complexity Advantage (focusing on complexity as an opportunity to understand and leverage rather than a threat). Specifically, the Finance department coordinates two sub-areas: The complexity of problems, solutions and decisions, and Finance for good. “The complexity of problems, solutions and decisions” is a sub-area of the Complexity Advantage Area of Excellence that fosters theoretical, empirical, and experimental research in the broad area of financial decision-making under uncertainty and complexity. “The finance for Good” is a sub-area of the World We Want Area of Excellence that promotes research on the frontiers of Finance and ESG.

The Areas will provide both resources and aggregation points to our faculty members working on related topics, and will act as catalyzers for visiting scholars who are globally recognized experts on such themes. Consequently, while we will carefully consider all high-quality applicants, applications from candidates with expertise within one or more of these four Areas are particularly welcomed.

In addition to the resources available through the Areas, we provide individual-level research support, including – among other things – an individual annual budget for conference travel and other research expenses, assistance in conducting studies in our two experimental behavioral labs, and support in applying for external funding and grants.

The compensation package is consistent with international standards (with the addition of generous bonuses linked to one’s publications). We also provide support for administrative procedures related to settlement in France and assistance in finding accommodation, family integration (school registration for children, help with job search for your partner), French training (for you and your partner), and relocation expenses.

About the candidates

We are looking for dynamic, research-oriented, high-potential candidates who:

  • Hold a PhD degree from an internationally recognized institution (or are close to completing it)
  • Have a publication record (or strong publication potential) in top international peer-reviewed journals
  • Are passionate about impactful research and are committed to excellence in its pursuit
  • Are eager to diffuse their knowledge in the classroom, empowering our students and executives with new insights to help them navigate a complex and uncertain world
  • Are motivated to leverage innovative pedagogy to deliver high-quality classes
  • Are fluent in spoken and written English (while it is a plus, prior knowledge of French is not required)
  • Are willing to disseminate research and expertise to our external stakeholders, both locally and globally
  • Have a proactive and collegial attitude toward their colleagues, their department, and the school
  • Look forward to actively participate in developing and implementing the school’s strategy

If you are looking to push the frontiers of knowledge in your discipline and are committed to sharing this knowledge with our stakeholders, you will find NEOMA Business School an ideal place to advance your career. We make it our goal to create the best possible environment for you to excel in your research and, more globally, in your academic career.
