We are offering a fully-funded Ph.D. position in the area of technology and business models. In particular, the successful Candidate will work on the research topic “The role of digital technologies in supporting business models for sustainable mobility”. Additionally, activities will be carried on research themes closely related to the newly established National Center for Sustainable Mobility, which aims to support research on smart and autonomous mobility, safety and decarbonization, among others.


  • Master’s degree awarded by an Italian or foreign institution or a “Laurea di Vecchio Ordinamento” (for Italian candidates pre-1999 reform) or a Second-Cycle Degree awarded by academic institutions part of AFAM
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to write reports. Knowledge of qualitative methods is also welcome
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of Italian is not required


The Ph.D. scholarship is funded by the EU - NextGenerationEU with funds made available by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).

This is a full-time position for four years.

The salary is aligned with the salary scale of doctoral students in Italy.

The selected Candidate is expected to begin in March 2023.
