Position requirements

We are looking for applicants specialized in Public Management in terms of both teaching and research. Applicants shall hold a Ph.D. and have an established (for Full and Associate levels) or promising (for Assistant level) record of research publications in peer-reviewed international journals. The candidate should also demonstrate strong teaching skills with experience at graduate, post-graduate and/or executive education levels in English and French. In line with our school’s strategic axes, we particularly welcome candidates whose research and teaching expertise combine Public Management with areas related to Sustainability and Ethics. The position is open to individuals with different profiles who are able to contribute to the development of Department research activities and educational programs in Public management and International cooperation. Therefore, possible areas of research and teaching include Innovation and Transformations in public sector and/or Change Management in public sector and/or Management Control in public sector and/or Human Resources in public sector and/or Public administration/Public policies and/or International Cooperation and/or International Relations and/or Geopolitics and/or International economy and/or Political sciences and/or Urban planning and territorial activities.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate educational programmes such as MSc, Master or Bachelor Degree Specializations with a good knowledge of the French public sector organisation would be considered an asset.

Position overview

The new faculty member will join our Department of Organization Studies and Ethics at Audencia. The department consists of 25 core faculty members. The research we undertake and the courses we offer in our department encompass a wide range of topics grouped within these expertise poles that are interrelated and have an interdisciplinary outlook: Sustainability, CSR and Ethics; Organization Studies; Human Resource Management; Organizational Behavior. The faculty’s recent publications include articles in leading academic journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Business Ethics Quarterly, Business & Society, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management Inquiry, Organization, Human Relations, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Science, Gender Work and Organization, and British Journal of Management among others. Faculty members are involved in Editorial Boards of top tier international and French journals as well as renowned academic associations. Research active members of our department are supported by distinguished International Affiliated Faculty. Our department is also home to the Positive Impact Chair.
